How to use organic brown rice?
Prepare organic brown rice the same way as the conventional version: cover with three times the amount of water, bring to a boil, then cook covered for 35-40 minutes over low heat. You can find detailed cooking instructions on the brown rice page.
Extra tip: Valoryz organic brown rice pairs particularly well with health-conscious salads and Buddha bowl dishes. Thanks to the γ-oryzanol antioxidant and high fiber content, this is one of the most nutrient-dense ingredients you can use in your organic kitchen.
Frequently asked questions about Valoryz organic brown rice
How does Valoryz organic brown rice differ from conventional brown rice?
Both versions are whole, unhulled grains, so the benefits are identical: high fiber content, omega-3, γ-oryzanol antioxidant, B vitamins. The difference lies in the cultivation method. The organic version comes from organic farming, where we do not use any synthetic pesticides, insecticides, or artificial fertilizers, and this is verified annually by Biokontroll Hungária Nonprofit Kft. in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2018/848.
Why choose organic brown rice over conventional?
Due to its bran layer, brown rice naturally binds more substances, including unwanted chemical residues, than white rice. This means that for brown rice, the cultivation method is particularly important: Valoryz organic brown rice comes from organic farming, where the chemical load on soil and water is minimal, and the entire production process is monitored by independent experts. For those who regularly consume brown rice, choosing the organic version is therefore not only a matter of principle but also well-founded from a nutritional safety perspective.
Can infants and young children consume Valoryz organic brown rice?
Brown rice, whether organic or conventional, naturally binds more arsenic than white rice, so it should be incorporated into the diet of infants and young children in moderation, not as the sole grain source. However, the arsenic content of Valoryz organic brown rice is low according to laboratory measurements, and organic farming minimizes the presence of synthetic chemicals. It is also gluten-free and lactose-free.
